Families can launch an Olympic year of sport in style this February half-term by enjoying an active break at Spain's five-star La Manga Club destination resort.

The multi award-winning venue in Murcia has the perfect solution for active families seeking a sporty holiday, with tennis, golf, football, rugby, cycling and triathlon just some of the different sports that can be enjoyed.

La Manga Club will be running a number of sports and leisure academies for all the family over the February school holidays including golf and tennis.

The Leadbetter Golf Academy – the only one in mainland Spain – is featuring a number of special tuition packages for children including a four-hour under-nine academy, with further options for youngsters in the under-15 and under-17 age groups.

Alternatively, players of all ages can brush up on their tennis skills at La Manga Club's outstanding 28-court tennis centre. The official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association until 2019, star players including British number ones Andy Murray and Johanna Konta have all used the resort's facilities to train over the last decade.

Families seeking a touch of luxury for their stay can book a family room – two double rooms interconnected – in La Manga Club's five-star Hotel Principe Felipe, with all packages including breakfast, complimentary use of Spa La Manga Club's fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms and free meals for kids under five.

In addition, hotel prices also include a daily choice of a round of golf, tennis lesson or court hire, spa treatment or two-course dinner (drinks excluded) for adults and children aged 12 and over, while youngsters aged five to 12 can enjoy free access to the resort's Junior Club from Monday to Friday.

All breaks are inclusive of VAT and are based on two people sharing a room.
