High-powered executives from around the globe jetted in to La Manga Club, southern Spain, for the grand final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge.
Representatives from 17 nations, as far afield as India, Argentina and Mexico, were in attendance, but it was the team travelling one of the shorter distances that emerged victorious.
Portugals Nevada Bobs Golfe claimed the title with a two-round total of 232 Stableford points putting them 10 points clear of second-placed Beacon Investment, from Australia; with Malaysias Maybank finishing a further two shots back in third.
The Portuguese team had a two-point lead after the first round but refused to rest on their laurels recording a second 116-point haul, eight better than any other team managed on the final day.
The victory at La Manga Club is all the more impressive given the hundreds of companies worldwide that entered the competition including such household names as Mastercard, Mercedes-Benz and Ernst & Young.
The competition is the latest in a long line of prestigious events held at La Manga Club including the Spanish Open, the Times Corporate Challenge and the Footballers Classic.
Three championship golf courses are among the myriad first-class sporting facilities the resort boasts, making it the ideal venue for any number of events.

La Manga Club is located in a unique setting amid the rolling hills that separate the crystalline Mediterranean from the warm waters of the Mar Menor Sea in Murcia, southern Spain. Between two seas Murcia Region Discover the two seas that bathe the Regions coastline. The Mediterranean is a warm sea, dotted with coves and fine sandy beaches, which offers unforgettable diving both because of the clarity of its waters and because of the exuberance of the marine life that thrives there. The Mar Menor is the ideal setting for water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, canoeing or jet-skiing. The absence of large waves makes this lagoon into an unbeatable ally when it comes to harnessing the winds. Suitable for all levels. Whatever the time of year, there are more than 30 water sport schools along the coast. Here the sun is always shining. www.murciaturistica.es
