La Manga Club Cricket And Netball Breaks Are Great New Catch For Schools

La Manga Club

La Manga Club played key roles in helping Andy Murray and Luke Donald on the road to sporting glory and Spain's flagship resort is offering budding cricket and netball stars of the future the chance to show off their skills after launching two exciting new tournaments in 2015.

Wimbledon winner Murray and former world number one golfer Donald are among the top names to have used La Manga Club as stepping stones to future stardom and talented youngsters will have the opportunity to shine when the resort stages its new 'Youth Cricket Festival' and 'Schools Netball Tournament' over the Easter holidays.

Taking place during the school holidays from April 13-17, 2015, the two events offer schools and clubs across the UK the chance to pit their wits against each other using La Manga Club's legendary sports facilities.

For only €270 (£207 approx) per person, players in both tournaments can enjoy three days of exciting action and a four-night stay in La Manga Club's four-star Las Lomas Village, as well as breakfast and a packed lunch each day and a final night buffet dinner, with the cricket competition featuring U13 and U18 age categories.

In addition, guests will have the chance to relax and unwind with complimentary use of the saunas, steam rooms, 25m indoor pool and gym at Spa La Manga Club.

Regularly used for warm-weather training breaks by county and international teams and a regular venue for ICC European tournaments, the addition of two regulation club turf pitches and four full-length nets has helped to cement La Manga Club's standing as the 'home of cricket in Spain'.

Boasting an average 300 days' sun a year, the resort's ideal Mediterranean climate makes it possible to train outdoors in the sunshine all-year round, and two new tarmac netball courts also make it the perfect destination for warm-weather training and netball festivals or competitions.

Set over an area of 1,400 acres, three times the size of Monaco, La Manga Club is widely recognised as Spain's flagship resort and continues to set the benchmark for sports and leisure destinations across Europe.

The resort features unrivalled facilities as a sports and leisure destination and, as well as its golf courses, includes a 28-court tennis centre and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre. It also offers the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses and more than 20 bars and restaurants.
