La Bastide De Gordes Hotel Opens 24 June 2015

La Bastide de Gordes Hotel

Perched along the cobbled edges of the Luberon's walled medieval town of Gordes, La Bastide de Gordes, part of the recently launched LOV Hotel Collection, will open 24 June 2015.

The hotel shut in 2014 for a multi million pound renovation (over 30 million Euros), which will see all rooms, suites, pool area, restaurant and private villa re designed. Within this redesign, the owners will be buying over 4,000 pieces of locally sourced art to put in the hotel, to include paintings, sculptures and pieces of furniture.

The setting of Peter Mayle's bestselling memoir, “A Year in Provence”, and Ridley Scott's film, “A Good Year”, starring Russell Crowe and Marion Cotillard, Gordes is a picture perfect hilltop village, covered with Cypress trees and lavender.

With the installation of over 4,000 artworks, a restaurant by Pierre Gagnaire and a Sisley spa, La Bastide de Gordes offers the charm, beauty and splendor of a stately home, with all the luxuries of a world-class resort.
