Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong has received new recognition for its outstanding hotel performance and food and beverage.

For food and beverage, the hotel has received recognition from the debut editions of the Michelin Guide for Hong Kong and Macau and Dining With Stars.

Kowloon Shangri La, Hong Kong�s Shang Palace restaurant is awarded a two-star rating in the debut edition of the Michelin Guide for Hong Kong and Macau. The rating is based on the five criteria of quality of products, value for money, mastery of flavour and cooking, �personality� of the cuisine and consistency between visits. The Michelin two-star accolade denotes excellent cooking worthy of a detour. Renowned for its Cantonese cuisine, Shang Palace delivers to every guest traditional and innovative dishes prepared by Chef Ip Chi cheung and his team. In 2002, the restaurant was honoured as one of only �Ten Great Hotel Restaurants� worldwide by the USA�s HOTELS magazine. The chef's signature dishes are Lobster Dumpling in Supreme Soup; Traditional Stewed Fresh Coral Trout with Garlic and Pork; Fillet of Lobster saut�ed with Dragon Fruit in Hawthorn Sauce; Saut�ed Scallops and Fresh Milk with Crab Roe; Assorted Rice saut�ed with Crab Meat, Egg White, Wolfberries and Diced Mushrooms; and Chilled Sago Cream with Fresh Mango and Pomelo.

In Dining With Stars, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong�s Angelini and Nadaman restaurants have been selected as two of the 50 finest restaurants in Hong Kong. The project is organised by the glossy monthly Hong Kong Tatler and supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board to unveil Hong Kong�s gourmet paradise.

Princess Ira von F�rstenburg from Germany chose Angelini as her favourite restaurant while Mr Nigel Barker, judge of reality TV show �America�s Next Top Model�, regarded Nadaman as a haven of refreshingly consistent excellence. Angelini delivers authentic Italian cuisine prepared by Chef Vittorio Lucariello, using only the finest ingredients of the season. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list of over 100 Italian wines. Chef Takaya Ishizuka of Nadaman offers fresh and innovative Japanese cuisine. Under his leadership, Nadaman was selected as one of only �Ten Great Hotel Restaurants� worldwide by the USA�s HOTELS magazine in 2005.

On the hotel side, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong has been named in several coveted reader polls in 2008. The hotel has been named in the �Best of the Best - Top 100 Hotels in the World� and �Top 100 Asian Hotels� categories of the Cond� Nast Traveler Readers� Award (USA). Travel + Leisure (USA) named the hotel in its �Guide to the World�s Best Hotels T+L500�, �World�s Best Award Top 50 Hotels in Asia� and �World's Best Business Hotels� categories. Travel + Leisure (China) named the hotel in its �China�s Top Hundred Hotels�.
