Kojo Anim Says It's 'Time to Travel Republic' in Major Peaks Campaign

Travel Republic comes to the rescue of hardworking people during the moments when a holiday is the only answer.

The fresh creative by newly-appointed creative agency The Corner, will debut on primetime TV on 26 December across high-reaching TV and radio.

The campaign light-heartedly recognises all those moments when a holiday is the answer – whether it's to escape the news, relieve the stress or “reconnect” with your lover. It's inspired by Google research showing that the UK's need for a holiday has never been greater. And it aims to make Travel Republic the brand that comes to mind in those holiday-trigger moments.

The advert begins with a couple in need of reconnecting and are interrupted by Kojo Anim hanging from a comedic watch. Through his big personality and excitement for holidays he reminds the couple, and the nation, that when they're stuck in a rut it's Time To Travel Republic.

Kojo Anim was a finalist on Britain's Got Talent 2019 after receiving Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer. 28 million YouTube views later, Kojo is back on TV screens as Travel Republic's holiday-loving sidekick who pops up in the moments we need him most, to give us a little salsa dance, and show us that even in these testing times life is for living.

The new campaign builds on Kojo's first appearance for the brand in sponsorship idents currently running in ITV's hit-show Take Me Out. For the past 8 weeks millions have seen the comedian help people find their holiday match, such as scuba divers in the Maldives and two young men looking for culture in Amsterdam.

Kojo Anim, comedian and new Travel Republic 'watch face' said: “When I heard I had the chance to play a 4-inch tall man in a watch, I jumped at it… just not very high. But seriously, I'm really chuffed to be the face of Travel Republic.”
