Kimberley Aerial Highway - WA's Highway in the Sky

Tourism Western Australia

The Kimberley region of Western Australia is one of the world's last great wilderness areas - home to rugged ranges, dramatic coastline, white sandy beaches, mystical Boab trees, gorges and waterfalls,  pockets of lush rainforest, and thousands of years of Aboriginal history.

The Kimberley Aerial Highway - a network of remote airstrips at major attractions throughout the region - gets visitors up close and personal to this spectacular area that spans more than 423,000 square kilometres.

Fly over extraordinary attractions such as Mitchell Falls, Windjana Gorge and the Bungle Bungle Range in World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park, then land and join on-the-ground tours, staying at remote wilderness lodges all attending ATE and including El Questro Wilderness Park www.elquestro.com.au (Delaware North Australia), Home Valley Station www.hvstation.com.au (Voyages Indigenous Tourism), Kooljaman at Cape Leveque www.kooljaman.com.au, Eco Beach www.ecobeach.com.au and two new properties - Kuri Bay www.kuribay.com.au (Wild Bush Luxury) and Berkeley River Lodge www.berkeleyriver.com.au (Kimberley Accommodation).

Take to the Kimberley skies on a fixed wing, float plane or helicopter tour. There are half day, full day and extended options available, or, create your own journey and take a private charter. Attending ATE is air tour operator Slingair Heliwork www.slingair.com.au.
