Long Beach, Calif. - The unmistakable sounds of piping will reign aboard the grand ocean liner during the 12th Annual Queen Mary Scottish Festival. The colorful weekend is set for February 19th and 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dailyaboard the majestic �Clyde Built� ship.

Prices for the Scottish Festival are $19 for adults, $17 for seniors and $13 for children ages 5-11 with two-day tickets at $25, $23 and $17, respectively. A 20% savings will apply to tickets purchased by February 1, 2004. Admission includes a Self-Guided Shipwalk Tour, the Ghosts & Legends of the Queen Mary show and �Treasures from the Queen Mary Archive Exhibit. Parking is an additional charge.

Festivities for both days include: colorful parades each day at Noon with massed pipe bands, clans, and special celebrity guest Grand Marshals; Highland Dancing Competitions and Country Dancing performances; more than 60 Clan and Association tables where visitors can explore their Scottish heritage; Highland Games with a full range of competitors and Sheep Herding Demonstrations in the Queen Mary Events Park, adjacent to the ship; a Pipe Band Competition both days spotlighting some of the top bands in North America; and musical entertainment from Men of Worth and Alex Beaton.� New this year will be the War Horse & Militaria Heritage Foundation demonstrating cavalry maneuvers depicting the Scots Greys of 1815 made famous at the �Battle of Waterloo�. Music and Whisky will kick the festival off on Friday the 18th. Men of Worth will open with a very special concert Friday February 18th; in the Royal Theatre at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door. A special evening of whisky tasting will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday the 18th, featuring various expressions of �The Glenlivet�, �Aberlur� and �Abunad'h�. Headliners at this year's Third Annual Plaidpalooza are Eric Rigler and Bad Haggis who will present a special concert along with the Los Angeles Scots Pipe Band on Saturday February 19, at 8:00 p.m. in the Queen's Salon.
