Last year, the Consumer Electronics Association announced that it would be bringing the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's biggest and most dynamic event of its kind, to the Asian continent for the first time. The group chose our fair city of Shanghai as the site of this exciting inaugural event, which is to be held from May 25th-27th at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre.

In a press release, the CES's president and CEO announced, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of CES Asia. The event, which is also held in Las Vegas (United States), draws the technology world's biggest and most influential players eager to show off their company's innovative new technologies. From new smart watches to self-driving electric cars, the event offers attendees a chance to see into the future of electronics.

The Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC) for the location of this year's inaugural event. SNIEC is one of the premier venues of its kind in Asia, featuring 200,000 square meters of indoor space spread out amongst 17 column-free, ground-level exhibition halls and 100,000 square meters of outdoor space.
