The Aura of Boxing: The Black and White Series by Max Kandhola

Visit the New Art Exchange to view Max Kandhola’s latest exhibition which features a series of first-class professional boxers; Howard Clarke, Julius Francis, Robert McCracken, and more recently, Nottingham-born world champion boxer, Carl Froch. Max has been developing this highly-anticipated body of work over the past 18 years.

Snowdrops at Hodsock Priory

The snowdrops which bloom at Hodsock Priory are a sign that spring is just around the corner. Explore 12 acres of spectacular snowdrop-covered woodland and five acres of formal gardens, as well as the Snowdrop Village. The Snowdrop Village is located in front of the magnificent 19th century country house, with direct access into the snowdrop woodland and gardens. The Village will be home to a luxury tea room, gift shop and plant sale.

Partners in Crime

This half-term, discover Nottingham’s horrible history! Explore original prison cells, caves and dungeons in the brand new actor led tour, suitable for all the family. Experience the fun re-enactment courtroom trial starring some of Britain’s most infamous ‘Partners in Crime’. The tour is also accompanied by FREE craft activities and exciting exhibitions and so the Museum provides the perfect mix of entertainment, discovery and educational fun.
Time: Actor led tours will run every half an hour from 10:30am – 4:00pm

City of Caves

Explore a hidden world beneath your feet with the whole family and head down to Nottingham’s premier visitor attraction for half term fun. Discover a historical journey under the cobbles of some of Nottingham’s most famous streets and up through Drury Hill, which was the main street where the poorest residents of Nottingham once lived. Holiday Drama workshop
17 & 18 and 20 & 21 February 2014, New Art Exchange, Nottingham
For all the young performers out there, this two day workshop is perfect! Play drama games using music, movement, and spoken word. In these taster sessions you can learn about drama and movement, make friends, and most importantly, have fun!

Jake Bugg

Jake Bugg is Nottingham’s biggest musical accolade. The 19-year-old music sensation, from Clifton in Nottingham, is currently on a major UK tour that includes dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London. Tickets are still available to see him at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena in February in what will be his first headline arena show in his home city.

Spirits of the Caves

Led by professional medium, Maria Davey, you will be guided through a maze of some of Nottingham's oldest caves where you may be walking with the spirits who roam our ancient caverns.
