KE Adventure Travel is delighted to have formed a partnership with the charity Mind Over Mountains, a charity who offer professional mental health support by harnessing the healing power of nature. Three members of the KE Adventure team were delighted to join in the Mind over Mountains Ullswater Way Step Out Challenge Walk on Saturday 30th September, fundraising and walking through the beautiful autumnal fells with a group of around 20 people, including Mind Over Mountains CEO Ian Sansbury.
Ashley Toft, CEO of KE Adventure says “Mind over Mountains is a charity promoting the benefits of walking for mental health and organising events and funded places for those in need. It is the perfect fit for our organisation – our office is based in Keswick in the Lake District and our team all enjoy and appreciate time in the fells and being active for their health and mental wellbeing. We are thrilled that we could join in on our first walk and look forward to volunteering on future walks and helping to promote the activities of this impactful charity, as well as providing a more practical financial contribution to help continue their great work.“
Ian Sansbury, Chief Executive Officer of Mind over Mountains says “We are thrilled by the support of KE Adventure Travel, a company who really understand the benefits of walking and trekking in the mountains and we look forward to our partnership growing and evolving over the years.”
Mind over Mountains offer professional mental health support in an unpressured, unhurried setting. Their events run throughout the UK, with bursaries available to those with the most challenging lives. Ranging from one day walks to weekend retreats, throughout the UK and often in the Lake District or Peak District, their programmes bring together professionally guided hill-walking, mindfulness and time in the company of experienced coaches and counsellors.
