Frontier Canada, the Canada specialist tour operator, has put together a new holiday package combining sea kayaking with the orcas of British Columbias Johnstone Straight and a city break in Vancouver.
The seven night package includes 2 nights in Vancouvers Hip Hotel the Pacific Palisades, travel over to Vancouver Island, 2 nights on Quadra Island in a B&B and then a 3 night kayak and luxury camping tour. Prices start at 705 per person.
The Realm of the Orca 4 day kayak trip travels through some of the most spectacular scenery of Canadas West Coast. The marine environment of Johnstone Straight is home to porpoises, dolphins, black bears, sea lions and of course, whales and the opportunity to see these animals is extremely high.
Overnight camping is provided in remote luxury wilderness with tents situated across from the pristine Tsitika River Valley and the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve, home of the largest concentration of orca in the world. Views from the tents are magnificent and the sound of passing orca is never far away. In the mornings and after a hearty breakfast, quests paddle up the Straight in search of the Orca.
This trip is good for all abilities and is ideal for those who would like to try some kayaking, see some wildlife and explore the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. This trip can also be combined with other tailor-made holidays in Canada.
