Several key management appointments were made to strengthen the award-winning Food and Beverage team at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. These are:

Josef Schuppler - Assistant Director of Food & Beverage Matthew Charles Woolford - JW�s California Chef de Cuisine Sander Looijen - JW�s California Restaurant Manager John Kin Leung - Hygiene Manager

Josef Schuppler brings to the team 15 years if a well-rounded and extensive culinary and restaurant operations background. His last posting was as Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef of the Residensea � the world�s first luxury floating resort. Prior to that, he held various positions in the culinary field in the Ritz Carlton Hotel (Washington D.C.), Silver Sea Cruises (Fort Lauderdale), Restaurant Le Jardin (Monceau, Paris), Restaurant Tristan (Michelin, Mallorca), Restaurant Les Saveurs (London, UK) to name a few.

His current responsibilities include day-to-day hotel and Food and Beverage operations and promotions.

Matthew Charles Woolford joins as Chef de Cuisine, JW�s California. With numerous years of experience in other five-star deluxe properties in Seoul, Korea (Starwood Hotels and Resorts); Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, Thailand (Sheraton and Rayavadee Resort, The Evason); Singapore (Restaurant 360); Canberra and Sydney, Australia (Hyatt Hotel, Regent Hotel, Sebel Townhouse Hotel, Sydney Hilton and Casino Canberra Restaurant). His current responsibilities focus on the overall culinary direction and for the JW�s California as well as leading the team to greater heights.

Sander Looijen is the Restaurant Manager of JW�s California. He was in most recent history, manager of the same signature restaurant in the JW Marriott Shanghai property. A graduate of the Hotel Management School in Maastricht, Sander was also the F&B Supervisor of several hotels in the Netherlands prior to his being selected as a management intern for the St Regis in Shanghai. Sander will be working closely with the culinary team and coordinate the various operations and promotions with his JW�s California team.

John Kin Leung is hired as the Hygiene Manager of the hotel. This is a newly created position to ensure a continuing integrated programme on the importance of hygiene and food safety for the hotel. John will coordinate all efforts and ensure brand standard enforcement on food hygiene, food handling and safety standards in all kitchen outlets. His qualifications include an MSc in Food Technology from the University of Reading (UK), a BSc (Hons) in Food Technology and Management from the University of Ulster (UK), a Certificate in HACCP Principles (Food Safety) and other various government certification.

In addition, the hotel will be undergoing major refurbishments in line with plans to continuously upgrade the hotel, its facilities and services. Work is lined up for several restaurants, the hotel lobby and guestrooms.
