Julia Bradbury Appointed Ramblers Worldwide Holidays First Ambassador

Ramblers Walking Holidays

Television personality Julia Bradbury – who has championed walking across the globe – has just been appointed Ramblers Worldwide Holidays first 'roving ambassador'.  Julia's reputation as the face of the outdoors began when she fronted Wainwright Walks, a stunning BBC Four series set in the Lake District. Following the show's success she went on to present walking series all over the UK and the world including Germany, Iceland and  South Africa.  Long-time presenter of the BBC's prestigious 'Countryfile' and 'Watchdog' programmes, Channel 5's 'Rough Guide' and BBC3's 'Kill It Cook It Eat It', Julia is one of Britain's most versatile presenters.

Commenting on her new appointment, Julia said, “It's fantastic to be the first roving ambassador for Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, a real privilege, and I'm delighted to be involved with an operator which shares my love of hiking and does so much to support environmental conservation projects in the UK and community projects overseas.

Welcoming her appointment, Kathy Cook – joint Managing Director of Ramblers Worldwide Holidays – said, “We could not have a better person than Julia to take on this important role.  Her professionalism, warmth and friendliness perfectly reflect the qualities inherent in Ramblers Worldwide Holidays and, her infectious enthusiasm is bound to encourage more people to enjoy the many pleasures and benefits of walking.”

Julia will be presenting her new prime-time series on ITV – The Wonder of Britain – in January 2015 which sees her exploring the best of the UK via boat, sea-plane, zip-wire and, of course, on foot!
