June 2015: Those looking to put their detective skills to the test can now take part in the 125th murder mystery weekend plot written by Joy Swift, who invented the concept over 33 years ago. The 125th plot will be performed throughout the summer exclusively at a selection of PH Hotels across the country from Ettington Chase in Stratford-upon-Avon to Wotton House in Surrey; once the setting for a Hammer Horror Movie.

Partnering exclusively with PH Hotels, Joy Swift's 125th plot takes place in the same year that her muse, Agatha Christie, would have turned 125. Since her first plot in 1981, Swift has dispatched over 10,000 victims and entertained over 100,000 guests worldwide with her critically acclaimed weekends.

The fun-filled weekend package starts with a welcome drink on the Friday evening followed by dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights, a themed party on Saturday evening, lunch and afternoon tea on Saturday, culminating on Sunday morning with the big reveal and awards Prices for the murder mystery weekend start from £280 per person.

With eight to ten actors taking part, guests will have 48 hours to solve four murders. The actors stay in character the whole time, with at least four suspects. A police incident room is set-up where evidence is collected throughout the weekend; guests are invited to complete their findings before the detective's denouement. Those who identify details of the case accurately are rewarded with prizes.

The weekends are run throughout the summer at PH properties across the country including; Ettington Chase in Stratford-upon-Avon, Wotton House in Dorking, Beaumont House in Windsor, Cranage Hall in Cheshire and Horwood House in Buckinghamshire.
