Journey Latin America has launched a virtual Race Across Latin America to raise money for the LATA Foundation's Covid-19 projects.

Working collectively as a team they aim to walk, run or cycle the length of Latin America from Mexico City to Ushuaia in 40 days in celebration of their 40th anniversary year.

With many destinations in the region currently suffering from the impact of the crisis the team at Journey Latin America hope to raise £2,500 for projects actively helping those affected on the ground.

Nicola Gude from the LATA Foundation said “We're extremely grateful for Journey Latin America's extra efforts to raise money for those in need of assistance during the Covid-19 crisis. By collaborating with our established partnerships and projects in Latin America, we are currently researching the most effective way of distributing these funds. Projects we have been able to support recently which are Corona Virus related include supplying PPE to Mayan midwives in Guatemala and funding essential meals for schoolchildren in rural Peru.  Journey Latin America have been a hugely important supporter and donor of the Foundation since its beginnings in 2008 and their donations have helped numerous projects across the continent.”
