This autumn, England's women's football team will join 15 other squads from around the world, for the country's largest sporting tournament and international event in history, the FIFA Under 17 Women's World Cup.

The tournament, which runs from 30th September 2016 – 21st October 2016, will be held in the Middle East's Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and go down in history as the largest sporting tournament and international event to be held in the country.

The event is monumental for women's football and sees Jordan pioneer women's sport within the Middle East, a reflection of the multiculturalism and hospitable nature of the country. With the Kingdom's increasing interest in sport, predominantly football, new stadiums have been erected throughout the land to host the matches of the U17 Women's World Cup.

The England team are led by new coach Robbie Johnson and will be competing in Group C to battle against Nigeria, Brazil and Korea DPR for the title. The final will take place on Friday 21st October 2016 at 8pm local time at the Amman International Stadium.
