After more than a year of stressful lockdowns, the prospect of being able to travel abroad again couldn't be more thrilling. And, slowly but surely, it does feel like holidays might be just around the corner.
To add momentum to this excitement, the Austrian National Tourist Office would like to invite you to a series of virtual press trips to the region of Tirol on 11th May 2021. With these, we aim to provide a taste of what's to come once international travel returns.
The virtual press trips are as follows:
Kaunertal
Date: 11th May 2021
Time: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (BST) / 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (CET)
Let's take a look at sustainability and barrier-free holidays in the Kaunertal valley, which has been designated as a “CLAR” region: Clean Alpine Region Kaunertal. In addition, it is one of the most accessible regions of Europe. Senior citizens, families with small children, people with physical disabilities – everyone can explore nature and enjoy holidays without barriers.
Innsbruck
Date: 11th May 2021
Time: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (BST) / 12 p.m. to 1p.m. (CET)
Innsbruck is a magnificent city offering architectural marvels and imperial sights surrounded by mountains and nature. What's more: Innsbruck's food scene is worth exploring. Join us at Die Wilderin, one of the Tirolean capital's innovative restaurants, on a relaxing city break.
Pitztal
Date: 11th May 2021
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (BST) / 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. (CET)
The Swiss stone pine is more than just a tree. Sometimes called "the queen of the Alps", it promotes sleep, lowers people's heart rate, and supports relaxation. We venture into one of Austria's mysterious stone pine forests, the “ZirbenPark” (stone pine park), to learn more about this fragrant tree.
Kufsteinerland
Date: 11th May 2021
Time: 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. (BST) / 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (CET)
Come with us to witness nature's unrestrained power. We'll find moments of calm around Lake Thiersee which is a mystical energy place where you can slow down and refuel. Join us for a brief Qi Gong session by the waterfall and finish the day with us forest bathing in the Kufsteinerland.
We would be happy if you could join us on this virtual trip to Tirol. Please register your interest by sending an email with the regions you would like to visit to martina.jamnig@austria.info
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We hope to see you there!
With very best wishes,
Martina
