The upcoming livestream of SIGHTGEIST– THE SAXONY MAGAZINE features a trip along Via Romantika, a scenic circular route in Saxony which leads to historic cities and towns, castles and palaces, beautiful landscapes and shopping outlets of famous Saxon manufacturers. 

Join SIGHTGEIST host Wolfgang Gärtner on his journey from Saxony's capital Dresden to Görlitz, for many Germany's most beautiful town. You will also be taken along the Polish border to the Zittau Mountains and then along the Czech border to the stunning Saxon Switzerland National Park and the Ore Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The final stretch covers Meissen, famous for Europe's oldest porcelain manufacturer, as well as the Saxon wine region, before it ends at the starting point, Dresden.

The video format magazine is presented on YouTube and will be livestreamed on Thursday, 9 February, at 12 pm GMT. Viewers can join in here to discover Saxony travel ideas.
