Jess Glynne Surprises Guests at Ocean Club Marbella 2015 Grand Opening Party

Ocean Club Marbella

Ocean Club Marbella has celebrated the start of its eighth season in spectacular style with a 'White and Silver' Grand Opening Party on Friday 1st May. As the most highly anticipated opening party in Marbella, party-goers were treated to a dazzling evening of entertainment that culminated in a surprise appearance by music star, Jess Glynne.

Summer officially started at 7pm when Ocean Club's doors were opened ready to welcome over 1,000 guests from all over Europe at the white and silver-themed bash. Greeted by 'Ocean Club shining Angels', the revellers entered the outdoor party venue past a wall adorned with fresh white roses to the sax house sounds of Spanish saxophonist LuGotti and his band. As the Mediterranean sun went down, the champagne flowed and partygoers indulged in a feast of the Chef's finest canapés, including mouth-watering sushi, King prawn skewers and tuna carpaccio, fuelling the party ahead.

Providing the soundtrack under a star-studded Mediterranean night sky, OC Resident DJs Eduardo Reyes, B-NY, Nilo Contreras and Jay Saccone returned to the poolside decks to get the crowd to their feet and the dancing started. Throughout the evening, show-stopping entertainers added another dimension to the spectacle, including synchronised gymnasts on trampolines at both sides of the stage, acrobats and circus performers dressed in LED lights, and a breath-taking troop of street dancers led by French breakdancer Joe Yamakasi.

Billed as a secret headline act, Jess Glynne stunned the crowds at 10.30pm when she was revealed along with her band and backing singers. During her 45 minute set, the British star performed her hit solo singles 'Right Here', 'Real Love' and 'Hold My Hand', the latter of which was number one in the UK charts for three weeks in April 2015. She also pleased party-goers with special renditions of Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' and Route 94's 'My Love'; songs that Glynne featured on in 2014 transporting her into the limelight.

After a spectacular firework display at midnight, lighting up the night sky over the sea, revellers partied into the early hours as the stellar line-up of entertainment continued until the Grand Opening eventually wrapped up at 2am. With its outstanding performances and eclectic musical mix, as well as its glamorous ambience and delicious refreshments, the 'White and Silver' party has once again confirmed Ocean Club Marbella as the place to be in southern Spain this summer.
