As part of Monti's latest addition to Jazz at Monti's Mid-Week Blues and headlining at the launch, are Kelvin 'Smokey' & Skunk Jive, widely acknowledged in Singapore as THE go-to blues harmonica band. Kelvin Ng, leader of the band, is a major blues talent in Singapore and the region, and has also been recognised internationally.

Jim Beam Double Oak has stood out from other bourbons, and over several generations, continued to push the boundaries to explore and innovate. Unlike other bourbons, Jim Beam Double Oak is matured in two oak barrels, not one. Following the maturation process in the first barrel, it is transferred to a second charred oak barrel for maturation, which exposes the bourbon to the flavours of charred oak wood for longer. This in turn, gives it the perfectly balanced depths that are woodier and richer than other whiskies.

Similar to Jim Beam's philosophy, “a definitive new take on the classic”, Kelvin 'Smokey' & Skunk Jive are constantly exploring new rhythms and sonic textures to create fresh and original sounds.

Members of the band include Chihaya “Chick” Hirai, a funky Japanese guitarist versed in classic Chicago and other blues and roots styles, Max Yanchenko, a Russian organ player who doubles up on bass, and Yohei Kanda from Tokyo, showcasing his talent on the snare. So, come down and relax with some of Singapore's best blues, whilst enjoying great cocktails prepared specially for Monti by Jim Beam.
