You can already take in the smell of the sea in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and for the upcoming summer season, the FVG Tourist Board has been thinking in particular about families and its young guests with the improved Family Experience Sea Club. The club includes a whole list of accommodation facilities along the seafront of Grado, Lignano Sabbiadoro and Trieste, which have been approved by the FVG Tourist Board as suitable for families and meet the compulsory quality requirements recommended and discussed. Brand new this season is the Family Carnet, a free coupon book offered only to guests at club facilities, which provides discounts and freebies on family-friendly services and experiences.

All the 3 to 5 star hotels, campsites, holiday villages and aparthotels in the club are geared towards the care and comfort of children and families, thanks to the special areas dedicated to them and the personalised services. In addition to indoor or outdoor games areas, these facilities offer rooms equipped with cribs, beds and cots with side rails, bottle warmers, changing tables and bathtubs. The partner facilities have adjoining double rooms or quadruple rooms of at least 20 square metres and guarantee discount rates for children.

The hotel restaurants have high chairs available and offer special children's menus with flexible meal times.

All the accommodation facilities offer personalised services, including babysitting and different entertainment programmes for various age groups. The facility staff can provide appropriate information to parents for any potential paediatric care required.

Starting this year, guests at facilities of the Family Experience club will also be able to enjoy the special exclusive rates provided by the Family Carnet, a coupon book which provides freebies and discounts on family-friendly services. For example, the coupon book includes access to local theme parks, water sport lessons especially for children (such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUP and swimming), as well as personalised excursions in the lagoon or on the sea out on motorboats.

If Grado is perfect for a relaxing holiday thanks to its calm, clean sea and sun-kissed beaches, then Lignano Sabbiadoro is an outdoor amusement park for the whole family, with theme parks and special entertainment for kids and children. Trieste, however, contains small bays hidden along its coastline, each one different from the other, with breathtaking views of the castles of Miramare and Duino.
