Isle Of Man Pure Produce Committee And The Hairy Bikers Attending BBC Good Food Show

Isle of Man Department of Tourism and Leisure

This month get your taste buds tingling with a delicious selection of Manx food and drink at the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham, 26th 30th November.

Members of the Isle of Mans Pure Produce Committee will be attending the show, including the Isle of Man Creameries, Moores Traditional Curers, Island Seafare and Isle of Man Meat. These suppliers will be on hand to speak to consumers about the wide variety of natural produce available from the Island and offer samples. Visitors to the stand can also taste some home produced drinks, including Okells beer and the famous ManX Spirit a clear form of whisky produced by Kella Distillers.

Television personalities, the Hairy Bikers are huge fans of the Isle of Man, and will also be at the BBC Good Food Show conducting cookery demonstrations, using Manx speciality produce.

The Isle of Man is an island of extraordinary natural beauty in the middle of the Irish Sea, almost equidistant from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the North West of England. From this pure environment comes a delicious range of award-winning rich creamy cheeses, Manx lamb, beer, ice cream, shellfish and seafood including Manx Queenies (a small sweet scallop) and the world famous Manx smoked kippers. All are made with fresh, natural ingredients using traditional island skills and from a variety of top quality suppliers.
