Islas Secas, Panama

JG Black Book, a leading full-service consulting firm specializing in integrated marketing services to clients in the luxury travel sector, announces the addition to its Collection of soon-to-open, Islas Secas Private Marine Reserve & Lodge in Panama.

‎Working closely alongside Islas Secas' management company, Belvedere Property Management LLC, JG Black Book will be representing the property in the US market, developing its branding, marketing and travel trade relations, and handling the press launch ahead of the highly anticipated opening in January 2019.

Located on its own private archipelago of 14 volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, just 15 miles south of mainland Panama, the exclusive retreat is set to raise the bar for understated luxury and sustainable tourism in the region. Islas Secas will help put the emerging destination on the map for travelers seeking an off the grid, timeless setting in Central America. The property will be home to four “Casitas” with 9 luxury guestrooms (sleeping up to 18) nestled throughout the verdant landscape with views to the Pacific Ocean. With interiors by the renowned designer Tom Scheerer - whose work in Nantucket, The Hamptons and The Bahamas is characterized by a distinct island-style - the casitas combine colonial elegance with a contemporary beach feel. Guests will be able to dine on sophisticated sea-to-table cuisine at the dramatic Terraza and unwind with a cocktail in hand at the Hemingway-style lounge and bar. An exclusive outpost for connecting with Panama's rich nature and embarking on private marine safaris, Islas Secas will also be home to a learning center, a dive center, and world class fishing program. A concierge will help curate excursions for guests to make the most of the 14 private islands of the archipelago and the protected marine reserve beyond. Late 2019 will see the addition of a boutique spa and a 4 bedroom Villa Residence with a private pool.  Championing environmental stewardship, Islas Secas Private Marine Reserve & Lodge will offer guests a high-quality experience while maintaining a low-impact footprint through ensuring all operations are fully sustainable from the use of solar power energy to composting all organic materials and more. The primary goal is to preserve the archipelago's surrounding beauty and to offer guests the perfect springboard for exploring Panama's unspoiled nature - from world-class sport fishing with renowned angler and TV personality Carter Andrews, to marine safaris to the UNESCO World Heritage site Coiba National Park, to snorkeling and scuba diving, or simply enjoying your own private beach with a picnic lunch.

A representative of ‎Belvedere Property Management LLC, says of the appointment, “We look forward to working with JG Black Book who have supported and consulted for our brand since the inception of the project. We're now excited to officially open up our doors and start welcoming guests”.

Jena Gardner, CEO and Founder of JG Black Book shared “We're thrilled to extend our agency's full marketing services to create an integrated launch strategy for Islas Secas. We're also excited to leverage our expertise in Central America and bring Islas Secas to the ears of the industry”.
