Join us for an update on Greece as a tourism destination by the Greek Minister for Tourism Mrs Olga Kefalogianni, including an overview of Greek tourism in 2013, highlights for 2014, and its key goal to extend the tourism season and promote Greece as a year round destination.

The press conference will feature presentations on Santorini as a unique gastronomic destination and the new promotional strategy of Athens/Attica Region.

To celebrate 2013 Year of Gastronomy in Santorini, archaeologist and  hotelier,  Mr Lefteris Zorzos will provide fascinating insights into gastronomy in Santorini Greece in ancient and modern times while Rebecca Seal, journalist, author and TV presenter will highlight her new 'foodie findings' from her autumn trip to the Greek islands.

For 2014, Athens also has a number of new developments and Mrs Anna Papadimiriou, Deputy Head for the Region of Attica, will present the new Integrated Programme for the Tourism Promotion of the Region of Attica, outlining all current developments.

On your way out, pick up a goody bag of delicious Greek products with olive oil & olives, as well as unique local products from Santorini, such as capers and more.

Journalists are then invited to meet the Greek National Tourism Organisation staff and co-exhibitors at the stand EM1000 for lunch courtesy of the Aldemar & Resorts and the Municipality of Thira (Santorini) - 2013 Year of Gastronomy in Santorini.
