As part of their campaign to promote sports tourism to the area, the Great Lakes USA and Pure Michigan are once again sponsoring the annual Travel Trade Yacht Regatta.  The event takes place at the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble on 17 July from 9am.

There will be 6 -8 yachts competing in five challenging races around the Solent in an attempt to win the regatta now in its 4th year. The winning crew wins a trip to Illinois and Michigan in September 2013.
