• Powder Byrne is delighted to launch its new family Alpine summer programme in Flims, Switzerland, offering a Swiss Mountain Adventure which combines the most amazing Alpine scenery with tons of action and relaxation.
• Flims, in the Graubunden region of Switzerland, provides the perfect base for a holiday which offers an endless playground of outdoor Alpine activities.
• Powder Byrne will be running their NEW PB Mountain Academy  during August 2015 for kids aged 8 years+.  This programme will contain an action-packed week around the Flims/Laax region.  The Powder Byrne team work with local mountain/sports specialists and the course is designed to develop skills in a select range of mountain activities.
• Activities on offer include:  indoor rock climbing and forest high ropes course; lake activities including swimming and kayaking; evening camps learning skills for mountain survival and camp craft;  Laax Freestyle Academy using trampolines, jumps, air track and foam pit;  downhill mountain biking; downhill mountain scooter riding; hiking and orienteering challenges.  A family day can be arranged to go white water rafting.
• The PB Mountain Academy is a 5 day course including 3 evenings of additional fun and costs £500 per person, excluding lunch and white water rafting.  Appropriate clothing and shoes are required by each individual, but all other equipment will be provided locally.  
• Whilst kids are having fun in the PB Mountain Academy, parents too will be spoilt for choice for things to do in this stunning mountain region:  guided hiking or self guided walks along marked mountain trails, cycling, swimming in mountain lakes as well as great spas for some well earned pampering, to name but a few activities on offer - not forgetting all the mountain restaurants which offer a tantalising choice of regional dishes to experience.
• Accommodation for families in Flims is available in a number of luxury hotels  as well as private chalets offering large luxury apartments for larger families looking for more flexible accommodation.
• This is an ideal option for families who want to drive through France down to Switzerland, and  incorporate this as part of their holiday.  The Swiss Mountain Adventure programme is flexible and families can dip in and out of the programme so do not have to commit to a full week.  Powder Byrne can arrange hotels for their outbound/return journeys in France. 
• The SwissMountain adventure can be combined with another Powder Byrne resort holiday in Elba or Sardinia with direct flights from Zurich to both these destinations.  Powder Byrne operate a number of active kids programmes and teenage academies in both these locations.
