Brisbane, 24 May 2023 – Inspired by the place where W Hotels was born, The Lex will channel the verve, spirit and swagger of New York City, while championing authentic Southeast Queensland produce.

The Lex, inspired by a New York-style grill but with a uniquely Brisbane flavour, is set to open its doors within the city's leading luxury lifestyle hotel, W Brisbane, on 15th June 2023.

With welcoming hospitality and a captivating energy, The Lex will be influenced by a sunshine state of mind and the flavours and characteristics that define Brisbane.

While a reverence for produce, natural cooking techniques and time-honoured traditions will remain at the restaurant's core, The Lex will simultaneously add playful twists to classics, giving them a modern and unique spin.

Ideally located overlooking the iconic Brisbane River, The Lex will feature terrace style dining creating an airy, open feel that connects diners to the outside while creating a dynamic internal space within.

As guests step into The Lex they will be transported on a journey to uncover the W origin story, with an immersive menu appealing to all senses and combining the new and unearthed, with grounded familiarity.

The menu, created under the direction of Chef de Cuisine Pawel Klodowski who joined the team at W Brisbane in 2021, will champion authentic South East Queensland produce, with a real focus on hyper local ingredients and the stories behind the produce. Whether it's an ice-cold oyster brine martini, a dry aged local cut of beef cooked perfectly on the grill, or a tableside Caesar, The Lex will deliver familiar comforts in an unexpected and playful way.
