About the InterContinental Ballroom

Recently renovated, the InterContinental Ballroom, sprawling over 885 sq meters, is an impressive and versatile pillarless space; and the adjacent pre-function area adds 446 sq meters to the venue, making it the largest combined ballroom space of any of Hong Kong's top hotels.

The two areas have been seamlessly connected with design effects and features, inspired by the hotel's unique location on VictoriaHarbour.  Translating the imagery of the harbour's currents with its rippling effects, the design firm of Woods Bagot developed the ballroom's motif of concentric circles, representing intersecting pools of energy or “chi” flowing through the space, thus making this one of the city's most auspicious venues.
