From the Secret Compass headquarters, landing summer 2019 BASE magazine is a brand new quarterly magazine sharing inspirational stories from the world of adventure.


Through the medium of print, BASE will provide a fresh approach to story-telling in action sports and outdoor culture told through the narratives of the world's leading adventurers.



“As we're now so accustomed to the closure magazines than the launching of something new, it's really exciting to see what's been an idea 12 months in the making come to fruition,” explains Secret Compass communications manager and BASE associate editor Chris Hunt. “BASE, we hope will provide relatable adventure to everyone, whether that means a bike ride from your front door or something far more ambitious. Ultimately, we just hope to encourage people to get out there and amongst it.”

Free to pick up at key outdoors and adventure hubs across the UK or to read online, this exciting new publication will share inspirational tales from the broad range of action sports. From the ambitious expeditions in the far-flung extremities of the world to accessible adventures closer to home. There'll be in-depth character profiles, columns full of opinion, photographic essays, long form features, artwork and poetry as well as snappy satirical pieces.



Issue 1 will soon be available in key adventure sports retailers, hubs and events across the UK while online subscribers will receive a free digital copy direct to their inbox on the day each issue goes to print. For the print revolutionaries, there will be soon the option for an annual subscription delivered direct to your door for just the price of the postage.
