Introducing AccessA - Live Accessibility Intelligence for the International Travel and Tourism Industry

AccessA

Accessible Oz and Sparrowly Group unite to today, launch a first of its kind platform connecting the full supply and demand chain of accessible travel.

Two of Australia's foremost accessible tourism specialists, Accessible Oz and Sparrowly Group have partnered to launch AccessA, a live accessibility intelligence platform purpose-built for the international travel and tourism industry. Available now at accessa.live, AccessA serves tourism businesses, destinations, government funders, and the travel trade with the real-time, verified accessibility data needed to confidently serve travellers across every stage of their journey, from dreaming and planning through to the experience itself and the memories they take home.

“Accessible Oz has spent years on the ground proving that accessible travel is possible through our travel agency. Partnering with Sparrowly Group means we can now turn that lived, first-hand intelligence into a platform that drives real change across the entire industry,” said Andrew Hager.

The opportunity is significant. Travellers with disability and access needs account for 23% of all domestic trips in Australia around 18.5 million trips per quarter while Tourism Australia research shows 24% of international visitors considering Australia have an accessibility need, and 86% say accessibility influences their destination choice.

The global accessible tourism market was valued at over USD $100 billion in 2024 and is forecast to more than double by 2033, yet the sector remains one of the most underserved in travel (Growth Market Reports, 2024). The UN World Tourism Organisation identifies that more than one billion people living with disability face not only physical barriers but a persistent inability to find clear and accurate accessibility information about destinations and experiences. A gap that continues before, during, and after travel.

Yet the industry has lacked the tools to reliably meet this demand.

“When we remove the information barrier, we don't just change a traveller's experience, we unlock a billion-dollar market, create more viable businesses, and build destinations that work for everyone,” said Giovanna Lever.

End-to-End Intelligence, Supply to Demand

AccessA operates across the full travel ecosystem. For tourism businesses, it provides a structured way to assess, document, and communicate genuine accessibility credentials and clear pathways to improve and reach more visitors with disabilities. For destinations and funders, it delivers aggregated, real-time intelligence for evidence-based investment and reporting. For travel trade professionals, it provides verified, current data to confidently match clients to the right products and experiences, reducing research burden and building adviser confidence.

“The platform is built to serve travellers across all disability profiles of physical, sensory, neurological, cognitive, and intellectual, recognising that genuine accessibility means different things to different people, and that how these travellers are currently communicated and sold to as a one-size-fits-all information fails everyone," she said.

The platform's ethos reflects a practical approach that supports operators at every stage of their accessibility journey. “AccessA gives destinations, businesses

“AccessA gives destinations, businesses, and travel trade the tools to stop guessing and start delivering. Because every traveller deserves to explore the world with confidence, and every operator deserves to know how to welcome them,” said Yann Charavel.
