Following his sold-out appearance with astronomer Brian Cox last December at the Hammersmith Apollo, science populariser and BBC Radio 5 Live contributor Dr Karl returns to London this month for two special events, at the Royal Institution on Friday 21st September and at New Scientist Live on Sunday 23rd September.
The author of more than 30 books, Dr Karl (real name: Karl Kruszelnicki) is a long-standing regular collaborator of the phone-in 'Up All Night' radio show, where for the last 15 years he explains all things science and discusses listeners' questions every Thursday.
Following his attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the first live Q&A radio show from Antarctica next February, Dr Karl will return to the Antarctic Peninsula in November 2019 to escort an exclusive polar voyage with adventure travel specialist World Expeditions; this will be the fifth time World Expeditions teams up with Dr Karl, who in the past has escorted trips to the Galapagos islands, the Arctic, Madagascar and Mongolia.
Dr Karl will be available for media interviews from Friday 21st to Monday 24th September 2018 (exact availability TBC).
