INTERNATIONAL SOCCER STAR ZIPS INTO FAMILY VACATION

The Canyons Zip Line Receives International Attention

OCALA, FL - What do zip lining and soccer have in common? Chelsea Football Club Captain John Terry, of course! The international superstar recently visited The Canyons Zip Line in Ocala/Marion County.  While visiting Florida, the famous footballer brought his wife and children to partake in the park's three (3) hour long zip line and canopy adventure.  The President and Owner of The Canyons Zip Line, Traci Walker, was ecstatic noting, “Of all the attractions in Florida, we are honored that they chose our park to be a part of their family vacation.”

Soccer seemed far from their minds as Terry and his family completed The Canyons Zip Line course including nine (9) zips, two (2) rope bridges and a rappel.  “Thanks so much for the best family day and experience of our holiday,” said Terry about the day at The Canyons. “It really has been a day we will never forget.”

The Canyons Zip Line, a family owned and operated business, is no stranger to accommodating well known guests. Since opening in 2011, athletes such as: Kris Durham, Wide Receiver of the Detroit Lions; 11 time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte; “A Day to Remember” bassist Joshua Woodard; and American Idols Season 12 top 6 finalist Lazaro Arbos are amongst the notable visitors. John Terry's signed photo is proudly hanging next to the others in The Canyons gift shop. The Canyons looks forward to expanding their “Wall of Fame.”

The Canyon's greatest asset is its rare terrain.  Cliffs alongside lakes are an uncommon sight in Florida and even the locals are amazed by the scenery.  The zip lines are the longest and highest in the state, however, shorter tours of the lower, slower zips are also available.  Guests fly over long expanses of water and a lush, tree filled forest.  For those who like to be a bit closer to the ground, horseback trail rides are also available.  It's no wonder that The Canyons draws visitors from around the world.
