Sydney's newest luxury hotel, InterContinental Sydney Double Bay has launched its own in-house kosher catering for events and celebrations, having received certification by the Kashrut Authority – the longest continuously-operating kosher organisation in Australia.

The five-star bayside retreat has collaborated with kosher chefs, suppliers and local community to bring together all the required elements to deliver in-house catering from its own fully-separate kosher kitchen, across its function rooms and special events spaces.

InterContinental Sydney Double Bay has worked closely with the Kashrut Authority to gain full kosher certification and ensure the hotel is equipped, trained and supervised to deliver spectacular kosher events.

Executive Chef Julien Pouteau has led the development of an extensive in-house kosher offering, creating a range of stunning menus and culinary experiences for events at the hotel, from weddings and barmitzvahs, to a celebratory L'chaim and private Shabbat dinners.

Menus feature gourmet kosher options across pareve, milchig (dairy) and meat selections, from delicate and delicious canapés to extravagant sit-down dining experiences. Also featured is a range of kosher wines, beers, spirits and house-made cocktails.

In addition, InterContinental Sydney Double Bay is building a collection of traditional cultural Judaica items to provide guests for their events, such as Kiddush cups, benching books and washing stations.

“Our focus is on bringing the freshest seasonal ingredients to our guests and enhancing their events with beautiful food, while ensuring all cultural and traditional rituals are respected.”

The hotel will also continue to collaborate with kosher caterers from across Sydney and Australia to ensure guests have freedom of choice, in delivering seamless events from start to finish.
