InterContinental Sydney Director of Sales and Marketing Nicole Lui has appointed Josh Roberts to head up the hotel�s new Meetings and Events department.

As Business Development Director � Meetings and Events, Josh will have responsibility for driving business tourism to the hotel.

Josh joins InterContinental from the National Convention Centre in Canberra where he worked as Business Development Manager targeting the MICE market. He has also worked in hotel managerial roles in Canberra, Perth and Sydney. Josh will be supported by new Business Development Managers Matt Sturt, Chrissy Cummings and Ann Burgess.

Matt brings extensive experience in conference and incentive sales, having held business development positions in some of Queensland�s premier resorts.

Chrissy has more than 15 years� hotel and sales experience, most recently with Hotel Grand Chancellor in Christchurch. With 10 years� experience in conference and catering with InterContinental Sydney, Ann will oversee the facilitation of all meetings and events.

Ms Lui said the new department would deliver a more streamlined customer experience.
