InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts walked away with 10 remarkable wins at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final 2018 held in Lisbon, Portugal, including the much-coveted World's Leading Hotel Brand title for the 12th time.

Several world-renowned InterContinental hotels and resorts across Asia Pacific took home award wins in a variety of categories. Amongst these winners were the newly opened InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort in Vietnam, which was named World's Leading New Luxury Resort 2018, as well as the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam, lauded World's Leading Green Resort 2018.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts had major regional wins this year, with a phenomenal 32-award sweep at the World Travel Awards Asia 2018 earlier this year.

Launched in 1993, the WTA acknowledges and celebrates excellence in the travel and tourism industry and is now in its 25th year. Awards are presented across three tiers: country, regional and world awards, based on votes by the public and travel professionals worldwide.
