About Rice:
Rice, the staple food of over half the world's population. especially in Asia, is the most important grain for human nutrition and caloric intake, providing more than one fifth of the calories consumed worldwide by humans.
The varieties of rice are typically classified as long, medium and short-grained, while the varieties or strains of rice vary between white, brown, red and black (or purple) -- each prevalent in different parts of the world. Differences in rice also depend on the nutrient quality of the soil it is grown in, whether and how the rice is polished or processed, the manner it is enriched, and how it is prepared before consumption.
Yan Toh Heen is open daily for lunch and dinner.
