On Saturday, February 1st, 2014 celebrate the Year of the Horse with exceptional dining at InterContinental Hong Kong’s celebrated restaurants and enjoy front row seats for the Lunar New Year’s Fireworks Display over Victoria Harbour. Yan Toh Heen
For a traditional Chinese New Year's Feast of award-winning Cantonese cuisine by Chef Lau Yiu Fai on February 1st, the 1-Michelin star Yan Toh Heen presents an 8-course set dinner at HK$2,288 per adult (HK$1,688 per child aged 3-6 years old only).
Chef Lau’s Firework Dinner menu includes Golden Lobster with Spicy Salt and Barbecued Suckling Pig, Double Boiled Sea Cucumber with Fish Maw, Wok-seared Wind-Dried Oyster and Garoupa Roll with Sea Moss, Braised Whole Abalone with Oyster Jus, Wok-fried Wagyu Beef with Asparagus and Crispy Lily Bulbs with Preserved Taro, Braised Assorted Fungus with Bamboo Piths and Mushrooms, Fried Rice with Duck Liver, Assorted Seafood and Pinenuts, and finally, for dessert, Sweetened Red Bean Cream with Bird’s Nest and Glutinous Rice Dumpling. The menu is served with Tribute Ti Kuan Yin tea.
The special "Fat Choy" menu (HK$ 1,388 per person) offering traditional Lunar New Year delicacies are available from January 15th through February 15th h (except for the Fireworks Night on February 1st).
The 5-course menu that features an appetizer of Barbecued Suckling Pig, a Wok- seared Oyster and Crispy Shrimp Roll with Sea Moss. This is followed by “Buddha Jumping over the Wall”, which consists of Double Boiled Abalone, Fish Maw, Sea Cucumber, Conpoy, Fungus, Bamboo Piths, Mushrooms and Black Chicken Soup. The next course is Wok-fried the Wagyu Beef and Duck Liver with Spicy Sauce served in a hot stone casserole, followed by Fried Multi-Grain Rice with Scallops, Pine nuts and Chestnuts. For dessert, Sweetened Bird’s Nest and Sesame Dumplings in Red Bean Cream served with TributeTi Kuan Yin tea.
Yan Toh Heen also presents two Auspicious Spring Set Menus –9-course menus at HK$12,888 and HK$18,888 respectively for a table of 10 persons. The Auspicious Spring Dinner Menus are available also available from January 15th– February 25th (excluding February 1st, which is the Fireworks Night).
Yan Toh Heen is open daily from lunch (12 noon–2:30pm) and nightly for dinner (6:00pm-11:00pm).
SPOON by Alain Ducasse
At the 2-Michelin star SPOON by Alain Ducasse, Executive Chef Philippe Duc is creating a 6-course Fireworks menu at HK$2,088 per person, with a wine pairing option for an additional HK$1,188 per person.
Feast on a lightly spicy Langoustine Soup, followed by Steamed Goose Foie Gras with peppered mango condiment. Next is Atlantic Brill with potato gnocchi and shellfish, followed by “Challans” Duckling with tender baby beetroot and turnips. A refreshing Mandarin, clementine sorbet is served before the dessert - a Delicate Chocolate Palet. followed by SPOON petits fours and coffee or tea.
NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong
On February 1st, NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong will showcase its innovative new-style Japanese cuisine with an 8-course menu created by NOBU Chef Oyvind Naesheim at HK$1,888 per adult (6:00pm-11:00pm).
The menu stars with Koubako-Gani, Yariika Noodles with ginger jelly, followed by Himi-Buri, Tairagai with caviar and blood orange. Next is Suppon Soup with Uni, followed by a Norwegian Scallop with XO miso and Razor Clam with butter tamari soy. The feast continues with Seabass “Ying Yang” with black yuzu egg sauce and white balsamic sauce, followed by Japanese Wagyu with maitake, sudachi with jalepeno salsa. A Deluxe Sushi Assortment and Clear Soup come next. For dessert, a “Cheerful Blessing” of pumpkin jello with black bean ice cream and raspberry sorbet.
THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill
At THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill, the recipient of 1-Michelin star for the 2nd consecutive year, indulge in a 4-course menu at HK$1,988 per adult and HK$1,088 per child (3-6 years old only), The set menu is inclusive of an elaborate festive salad bar with seafood, a choice of appetizers and choice of main course, showcasing the world’s finest beef which is chargrilled to perfection on Hong Kong’s only charcoal grill. Then make sure to save room for the elaborate dessert buffet.
Harbourside
On February 11th, Harbourside, renowned for its exceptional international buffets, presents a Seafood & Sushi Dinner Buffet for HK$1,388 per adult / HK$988 per child (3-6 years old only) from 5:30pm till 8:00pm and from 8:30pm till 11:00pm

Learn to Make Your Own Chinese New Year Savoury Kagoshima Daikon Pudding and Peanut & Sesame Dumplings
In preparation for the Lunar New Year, learn to make your own Chinese New Year Puddings under the expert guidance of Yan Toh Heen Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai and his team. Using special Kagoshima Daikon. Chef Lau will demonstrate how to make this savoury seasonal treat, along with Peanut & Sesame Dumplings.

Meet in the private room at Yan Toh Heen where Chef Lau will introduce the class programme as you enjoy dim sum and Chinese tea.
Chef Lau Yiu Fai will then introduce the ingredients and demonstrate how to make Chinese New Year Savoury Daikon Pudding and traditional Peanut & Sesame Dumplings.
Next it will be your turn to make your own dumplings with the assistance of Chef Lau and his team.
Finally, indulge in the Savoury Daikon Pudding and traditional Peanut & Sesame Dumplings you have made, which will be served with Tribute Ti Kuan Yin Tea.
