Inspiration a Click Away as the Canadian Tourism Commission streamlines consumer websites
Getting Inspired and planning your next trip to Canada just got a little easier. The Canadian Tourism Commission has brought together its three consumer websites (canada.travel, keepexploring.ca, and explorelikealocal.com) to create a single inspiring and user friendly site : www.keepexploring.ca for travellers of every type. The new site is currently available in 6 languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Portugese and Korean) and provides an improved online journey for travellers from around the word. Japanese and Chinese language sites will be launched May 27th.
Enhanced Features
A truly responsive site: Whether visiting the new website on a mobile phone, desktop or tablet, the enhanced site automatically adjusts to the consumer's screen. That means the site is pretty and easy to use no matter what the screen size.
Sharing Experiences : Based on the success of the Explore Canada like A Local initiative and the 35 Million Directors campaigns, which encouraged travellers to share their authentic Canadian experiences, the enhanced CTC consumer site will allow travellers to post their video and photo memories, inspiring others along the way.
Geo-coordinating: Consumers will find it easy to plan their trip to Canada thanks to experiences and destinations being tagged with their geographical coordinates. Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) as well as other significant Canadian experiences will be viewable on a map to their exact coordinates.
"The new consumer website will combine top features from our past sites in addition to enhancements ensuring we're on the cutting edge of consumer travel websites. Now more than ever, the journey down the path to purchase is just a click away ", said Greg Klassen, Senior Vice President Marketing Strategy and Communications at the CTC.
