Inspira Santa Marta Hotel (+351 210 440 900; www.inspirahotels.com) is offering travellers determined to get fit in 2016 a city break that features a sight-running tour, plus the chance to snap up a great spa deal. 

The stylish urban retreat is offering a Guided Jog package, which provides guests with an invigorating way to see the sights while shedding pounds put on over the Christmas break. Led by knowledgeable, local personal trainers, who put visitors through their paces while offering a lisboeta's take on the city, the experience is complemented by a restorative 30-minute massage in The ReTREAT, the hotel's sleek spa.

Priced at €412 (£303), the Guided Jog includes two nights' B&B for two in a double room, and the sight-running tour and 30-minute massage for one person. The second guest may book online to join the guided jog for €55 (£40), including a massage.

The ReTREAT, with its six treatment rooms, thermal suite and gym, is also offering a three-session treatment to rebalance the body after the festive season.

The treatments, featuring Elemis products, will include a 50-minute full-body massage, a 60-minute lime and ginger full-body scrub and facial treatment, and a 75-minute Cellutox Aroma spa ocean wrap. The indulgent trio costs €175 (£124) down from €255 (£180) and is available throughout January 2016.
