Insights To Action Into The China Travel Trade Market

MyTravelResearch.com

Renowned travel researchers, Carolyn Childs and Bronwyn White of MyTravelResearch.com, together with travel and tourism communications and China market specialist, Andrea Plawutsky of Amplify Me, have teamed together to undertake a comprehensive survey of the Chinese travel trade, and are launching the results at the China Travel Trade Research and Workshop: Insights to Action 25 June 2013 in Sydney.

The strictly-limited numbers workshop will provide attendees with a competitive advantage when targetting the expansive Chinese inbound travel trade, with strategic insights into how to connect with this important market, the sources of information used in guiding trade recommendations to clients, what factors influence their clients' decision about where to go and what the Chinese travel trade need to know about to help sell Australia better.

Co-researcher and presenter, Carolyn Childs, says the Chinese inbound market is recognised as the most important source of new travellers for Australia, but is often misunderstood with a great deal of hype surrounding its needs. "Chinese holiday visitor arrivals to Australia increased 26% in 2012," said Ms Childs, "and the growth is slated to continue for at least several years to come." "While it is being widely heralded as the great saviour of the Australian travel and tourism sector, many organisations do not know how to go about tapping into this opportunity, or even whether it is appropriate for them. "Whilst much emphasis has rightly been placed on understanding the wants and needs of the Chinese consumer, we know that many Chinese travellers - especially during their early trips overseas - look to the trade. Our research and workshop will help demystify the Chinese travel market, and importantly, outline what influence the travel trade itself has in the equation."

Andrea Plawutsky, fellow so-presenter, is passionate about the opportunities presented by the Chinese market. "Many view Chinese travellers as a homogeneous, single target market, not taking into account the many varied and shaded nuances presented by regional, demographic and motivational differences," according to Ms Plawutsky. "Equally, many people consider the consumer aspect of the market without considering the travel trade's importance

and influence - something we'd suggest is doing so at the peril of your success."

The Workshop will include presentation of the research, a China Travel Trade Insight session with a panel of top Chinese travel trade experts and practitioners sharing their secrets of success, followed by a workshop session that translates the insights into action, showing participants how to use the research and practical ways to integrate the results into their business.

Priced at $988 plus GST, MyTravelResearch is offering a Platinum Package that covers attendance at the workshop, the full report and membership to the China Travel Trade microsite to access the report, recorded presentation and additional resources.
