Inntravel

Slow holiday tour operator Inntravel is considered to be the best (general) travel company, according to the latest annual Which? survey of ''Best & Worst Travel Agents & Tour Operators” published in the July 2018 issue of Which? Travel. The company scooped a customer score of 96%, one of the highest ever recorded in a Which? Travel survey, along with five stars for satisfaction ratings in three areas: customer service, value for money and the organisation of holiday.

With hundreds of travel companies out there, it can be daunting for holidaymakers to decide which travel companies offer the best holidays for their needs. Within this highly regarded survey, which was conducted among more than 4,500 member experiences, are satisfaction ratings for more than 30 travel companies most used by Which? members. For the first time, the consumer champion has split its highly regarded survey into three sections: General Travel Companies, Package Holiday Providers, and Escorted Tour Providers.  It was within the General Travel Companies category that Inntravel was recognised.

Inntravel specialises in Slow holidays, in other words non-group holidays which reveal the lesser-taken path. Combining relaxed activity and unspoiled landscapes, Inntravel's various programmes offer over 120 tempting walking trails, mostly in Europe, 37 holidays on two wheels, 19 destinations with snow-based activities such as snow-shoeing, dog-sledding and cross-country skiing, and a SlowMotion programme of journeys.

Managing Director, Inntravel, Karl Watson commented: “We are immensely proud to have been recognised by Which? in their latest holiday survey. We firmly believe in our concept of Slow Holidays – which allows our customers to travel at their own pace through some of the world's most beautiful scenery – and this accolade is a strong endorsement of our dedication and commitment to quality.  A huge amount of hard work goes into planning our holidays – helping our customers to choose the right holiday in the first place and then ensuring that they have the best possible experience while they are away. This kind of achievement is extremely gratifying for us as a company and a great reward for our staff.”

When it comes to trusted tour operators, Inntravel places emphasis on sustainable tourism and responsible travel, whether respecting local cultures, benefiting local communities or conserving natural resources. The company firmly focuses on maintaining and further improving the quality of their existing holidays, and giving careful consideration to the introduction of new destinations, always making sure that they meet the Inntravel criteria.  The most popular holiday that has been introduced by Inntravel this year is a Slow holiday by rail along the coast of Asturias (see below for details).
