10 new resorts
The new resorts featured include Brand and Bürserberg, Scheffau and Bad Kleinkirchheim in Austria, Hilterfingen in Switzerland and Crikvenica in Croatia. The Italian lakes of Orta - famously described as 'being where the Alps meet heaven' - and Ledro are offered for the first time as is Maderno on the shores of Lake Garda. The new mountain resort of Champoluc offers superb walking opportunities. Four new look summer holidays in Canada are featured, all of which are exclusive to Inghams. The Norway programme has 3 new multi-centre holidays including a new Taste of Norway holiday. A second cycling holiday around Lake Constance and a Wine Tasting Experience in Slovenia appear for the first time.
Experience More
The brochure continues to develop the 'Experience More' theme of last year's programme focusing upon the huge choice of additional activities and experiences which Inghams guests can enjoy during their Lakes & Mountains holiday. The list of Top 10 Experiences includes Learning to Yodel in Austria (a YouTube hit last summer), Tea Dances in Slovenia, Chocolate Making in Croatia & even the opportunity to play the Alphorn in Switzerland.
Added Value
The Lakes & Mountains 2015 summer programme provides added value with Inghams Plus savings of up to £600 per couple including a huge range of cash-back offers, early booking discounts, complimentary packed lunches, free guided walks and discounted travel and excursions in resort. There are even special offers for guests celebrating an 80th birthday in 2015 such as free room upgrades in Kitzbühel & Igls, free excursions in Italy & free sparkling wine in Kandersteg.
Chalet Hotels
Inghams Chalet Hotels continue to grow in popularity because of the amazing added value offered by the Half Board Plus arrangements. Three new Chalet Hotels are offered for Summer 2015 - the Abendrot in Ischgl, the Elisabeth in Lech and the Breithorn in Champoluc. Inghams continue their close relationships with their partner hotels and over 50 new hotels join Inghams' portfolio for 2015.
Glorious Gardens
The British are known as a nation of gardeners and gardening is now one of the most popular recreational activities with the over 55's. Inghams' 'Glorious Gardens' features some of Europe's most stunning gardens from the Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg, the garden-island of Isola Bella through to the Schynige Platte Botanical Alpine Garden in Switzerland with its 600 native species of Alpine wild flowers.
Walking
Over the last few years walking has become a major part of the Inghams Lakes & Mountains programme. Inghams “Walk with us”
highlights its top 10 favourite walking resorts including the new 'Scenic Seefeld' holiday – four specially created itineraries in 7 days led by Inghams own English guide.
Hugh Walton, Executive Director of Inghams, said:
“We were delighted to hear from our guests last summer just how much our Experience More offers had added to their holiday enjoyment and the new brochure includes even more of the same. I'm also proud of our Glorious Gardens feature which we've included by popular demand. Our 80th birthday programme really is a cause for celebration!”
