Celebrate the Fall season with Indy's top five haunted happenings:
1) The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Conner Prairie, Indy's interactive history park, invites families to jump on a haunted hayride for an encounter with the Headless Horseman. Spend time at the pumpkin catapult, roast s'mores, visit the Apple Country Store, and bowl with pumpkins.
2) Wicked Workshop The world's largest Children's Museum resides in Indianapolis. This year marks the 49th Annual Haunted House that takes visitors through a wild and whimsical factory where Winny the Witch and her hard-working Witchkins make everything you need for Halloween.
3) Zoo Boo This favorite annual event returns to the Indianapolis Zoo with pumpkin bowling, bounce house, obstacle course, trick-or-treating through the plains, kids craft workshop, a Halloween train ride and "Roller Ghoster."
4) Historic Indiana Ghost Walks & Tours From past ghosts to perpetual spirits, join paranormal researchers on tours that showcase the every day life of ghosts who wander the halls and streets of Indianapolis. Listen to scary, sad and sometimes funny stories of ghosts, gangsters and others who lived in a time before us and continue to live among us as spirits of the dead.
5) Crown Hill Cemetery Tours As the nation's third largest cemetery, join historians on a guided night tour learning of those buried inside their walls including past President Benjamin Harrison, famous poet James Whitcomb Riley or bad-boy bank robber, John Dillinger.
