Lunch & Dinner in Melba

Mums can take a break from the kitchen to be spoilt on this special day with a decadent spread of tempting selections from the dynamic cooking stations at Melba. Succulent rotisserie, freshly prepared sushi and sashimi, Asian delights, the acclaimed Tandoori oven, turbo works and an abundant selection of seafood from the seafood altar will take mums on a culinary journey filled with exotic flavours from around the world. Feature dishes include Peri Peri Prawns, Blue Swimmer Crab rolls, Lobster Mornay, Roast pork with sage stuffing and roasted peppers, Roast Angus Beef with French Dijon Mustard, all prepared with the finest produce and ingredients from Victoria and beyond. To finish, mums can select from the decadent dessert buffet of miniature treats and Gundowring ice-creams, enjoy fresh strawberries, marshmallows and nuts dipped in Melba's famous chocolate fountain - turned pink for the day, or try the feature desserts of Butterscotch pudding and Banoffee Crepes, the latter from the live dessert station.

Mum's Grand Afternoon Tea

The ultimate indulgence for Mum, the Grand Afternoon Tea takes place in the hotel's grand Clarendon Ballroom, featuring chandeliers and silk-lined walls for a true sense of occasion. Hosted by fashion commentator and author Emily Power, the event will include a delightful afternoon tea, fashion parade featuring Sambag, Feathers, Sacha Drake, The Arc and Montebello Emporium, and a pamper lounge with Oscar stylists and Kerastase products. Therapists from Chuan Spa will also be at the lounge to paint mums' nails - a wonderful haven to relax, unwind and have a girly chat with other mothers!

The rest of the family won't be forgotten, with fancy ribbon sandwiches, fluffy scones with raspberry jam & cream, and a dessert buffet with decadent treats including raspberry meringue kisses, pink shortbread heart cookies, a Black Forest Trifle, Toblerone chocolate mousse and Strawberry Chocolate Fountain set to keep them enchanted. The Mother's Day Chocolate Bar experience includes the hotel's signature ribbon sandwiches and scones with raspberry jam & cream, but the piece de resistance is the luscious desserts buffet, filled with tantalizing chocolate delights.
