Singapore - In conjunction with World Gourmet Summit 2015 (WGS), an annual international gastronomic extravaganza, SKIRT is proud to present Epicurean Fusions with Tim Raue. Together with hosting Chef Andrew Nocente, Tim Raue will curate a six-course dinner featuring sophisticated dishes inspired by multiple Asian cuisines from 14-17 April 2015.
A multi award-winning chef known for his oriental approach to cuisine, Tim was presented with the honour to showcase his signature style of Asian fine-dining to US-president Barack Obama and a few dozen of his guests in Berlin back in 2013. Inspirations in creating Asian fine dining experiences with an interesting twist started more than a decade ago when he first stepped foot into Asia.
Today, his signature style of Asian fine dining with a twist has often been referenced to works of arts, visual puzzles and conceits. Tim has also received multiple accolades over his span of career. From “Berliner Master Chef” to"80 hottest tables around the world" by Condé Nast Traveller, 'Restaurant Tim Raue' has grown to be established as one of the 10 best most delicious Chinese restaurants in Berlin City and one of the top Germany's most innovative restaurants.
“I was immensely captivated by the explosion of flavours – the medicinal and herbal properties – and culture the moment I stepped foot into Asia. The intense burst of spices is just amazing. It inspired me to create a fusion of Japanese product perfection, Thai aromas and Chinese cooking philosophy. I am really excited to share
my creations with the sophisticated palettes in Singapore together with Chef Andrew at SKIRT in Singapore,” said masterchef Tim Raue.
Redefining boundaries of traditional and modern gourmet cuisine with specially curated menu such as Scallop with Elderflower & Green Melon, Steamed Fish with 10y Kamebishi Soy Sauce & Leek, Wasabi Langoustine with Mango & Carrot, Dim Sum Peking Duck with Cucumber & Spring Onion and Sichuan Pepper Beef & Pickles. Lastly, end off with Banana with Yuzu & Smoked Butter that will satiate your palates.
Compliment the taste with Dönnhoff Riesling (Glass: $12, Bottle $60), rated 95 by Robert Parker and 19 by Jancis Robinson or Rudolf Fürst Pinot Noir (Glass: $16, Bottle: $80), rated 90 by Robert Parker. Savour and toast to these highly rated wines with contrasting textures and flavours by Tim within the luxuriant setting at SKIRT a perfect combination for a delightful dine-in.
