Luxury travel company, Indigo Voyages, has this month launched a fundraising partnership with international water aid charity Just a Drop. The company will donate 5% of their profits (an average of £10 - £20 per booking client) to Just a Drop, over a six month period.
Indigo Voyages caters to a discerning international clientele and specialises in the design and organisation of bespoke travel experiences with a special focus on incentive and honeymoon travel, providing an end-to-end service, from conception through to execution.
Enza Valiante Valentini, Manager and Founder of Indigo Voyages says:
“Indigo Voyages was born out of the core philosophy of "extending beyond" and an epic passion for people and places. We wanted to extend those values to support disadvantaged people – particularly children – around the world. What's more, water has always been an issue close to my heart and so Just a Drop seemed like the natural choice.”
Nicola Bruce, Events Manger at Just a Drop says:
“We are delighted to be chosen as Indigo Voyages' nominated charity. Their support will bring clean, safe drinking water and suitable sanitation to families in desperate need around the world. £1 can, on average, bring clean, safe water to a child for nearly ten years and so every customer interaction and ensuing donation from Indigo Voyages will have a real impact on children's lives. Thank you on behalf of everyone here at Just a Drop.”
In fact, Just a Drop has delivered over 130 projects in 31 countries, supporting approximately 1.5 million people since its beginnings in 1998. The aim of the charity is to address the shocking statistic that a child dies every 20 seconds from a water-related disease – which means more children under the age of five years old die from this than from malaria, measles and HIV/AIDS combined.
