Excite Holidays is noticing an increased demand for apartment and villa style accommodation with many Australian travellers choosing to stay in fully-serviced apartments over traditional hotels when they travel overseas.  

In particular, Australian families travelling to the USA and Europe are requesting kitchen facilities which give them the flexibility to prepare their own meals, cutting down significantly on the overall cost of the holiday.

Since the launch of its apartment search feature in early 2013, Excite Holidays has seen a rapid increase in apartment reservations with bookings up approximately 140% compared to the same time last year.

“Apartments are a great choice for families because they offer a home away from home. For holidaymakers travelling with children, having a separate living room, multiple bedrooms and dining facilities can make a huge difference,” says George Papaioannou, CEO of Excite Holidays.
