The wait is finally over! Tuesday 19th October will see the final revelation of the Bournemouth In Bloom award winners announced in a ceremony at the Pavilion Theatre.

Winners for the Best Allotment Site will be chosen from Brook Road Allotments, Bournemouth East Allotments, Longbarrow Allotments, North Bournemouth Allotments and Springbourne & Merrivale Allotments. Competition is tough, and the judging is done by none other than representatives of the other allotments � so perfection is a must to impress!

The coveted position of Best Allotment Winner will be judged by John Swindell of Bournemouth Borough Council, who was quick to point out that this is by no means an easy contest. �The main contenders every year always have immaculately kept plots and the highest standard of crops. Some of those in the running will be gaining a record breaking achievement should they win again.�

There are also awards for Best Plot within each Allotment Site and awards for hanging baskets, gardens and private and commercial frontages. So put on your dinner jacket and practice your speech, because this award ceremony aims to celebrate allotments and gardens as never before!
