TravMedia has delivered a successful IMM Virtual North America less than one month after the hugely successful in-person TravMedia Summit and International Media Marketplace (IMM) North America 2022 held on January 26 & 27 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York.
All event sponsors and travel brands who were unable to attend in person were provided with a proven platform to meet with the media through the convenience of their computers while travel restrictions were still in place.
IMM Virtual North America 2022 connected 270 delegates and facilitated 2,200 meetings across three half-days. More than 180 North American media met with 94 Public Relations professionals representing 90 international travel brands. The virtual event provided destinations, hotels, and tour operators who were unable to attend IMM North America in person the opportunity to pitch tourism recovery stories and connect with new and established media contacts.
"IMM North America essentially helps media plan a year's worth of stories and famil opportunities, so it was important for us to hold the virtual event close to the beginning of the year," said Dominika Dryjski, COO of TravMedia.
Delegates were given the opportunity to complete 36, 15-minute, one-on-one virtual meetings over three days, from 2 pm to 5 pm ET on February 23rd and 24th and March 2nd. The virtual meeting space enabled industry professionals to reboot interrupted travel bookings and drive visitation to their destinations through earned media opportunities based on their prescheduled appointments with top travel journalists, editors, broadcasters, and digital influencers.
TravMedia is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2022. Upcoming International Media Marketplace events include IMM Germany in Berlin on March 8th; IMM UK in London on March 14th and 15th; IMM France in Paris on March 16th; and IMM Asia in October 2022.
Registration for IMM USA 2023 will open in August 2022.
